Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1931. Studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Prof. A. Goldenweiser’s master class. Dmitri Bashkirov’s name became known when he received the “Grand Prix” at the Marguerite Long Competition in Paris in 1956.
Andrea Bonatta is one of the most interesting Italian pianists of his generation and a successful conductor. He has recorded all of Brahms' works for piano, as well as several CDs of pieces by Liszt and Schubert, garnering top awards from international music critics.
The Swiss pianist, Homero Francesch, was born in Montevideo. He attended piano lessons under Santiago Baranda Reyes in Uruguay and in 1967 he was awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He then went on to study in Munich under Hugo Steurer and Ludwig Hoffmann. He has performed concerts in all major European capital cities, in Canada, Japan, Australia and the USA, as well as in Latin America.
Markus Hinterhäuser was born in La Spezia in Italy. He studied piano at the Academy of Music in Vienna, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and attended master-classes given by Elisabeth Leonskaja and Oleg Maisenberg. He has performed as a pianist in orchestral concerts, as a recitalist and also in chamber concerts in major concert halls.
Till Janczukowicz, born in 1967, took up the piano at the age of five and began his studies at the Aachen School of Music at fifteen. After winning the first prize in the University’s own piano competition, he continued his studies in Cologne. At the same time, he worked as a journalist, contributing to newspapers, journals and radio programs.
Marián Lapšanský won many major competitions at an early age, including 1st prize at the Smetana Piano Competition and the Anda-Bührle Prize. He now performs regularly with well-known orchestras such as the Czech Philharmonic and the Dresden Staatskapelle, and appears at leading festivals, including Vienna, Salzburg and Berlin.
The American pianist Robert Levin has performed in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia, in solo recitals and concerti.
Born in Marseille in a musicians family, Jacques Rouvier studied with Vlado Perlemuter, Pierre Sancan and Jean Hubeau at the Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music, where he obtained first prizes in Piano and Chamber Music.
