Ian Yungwook Yoo from South Korea is the winner of the first prize, endowed with EUR 30,000, in the 2ndInternational Beethoven Competition for Piano staged in Bonn in 2007.
Following the outstanding final round awaited with great excitement, the jury awarded the second prize to Keiko Hattori, Japan (EUR 20,000) and the third prize to Dmitri Demiashkin, Russian Federation (EUR 10,000).
Other prizes and awards were presented to:
- Audience prize (EUR 3,000) – Keiko Hattori (Japan)
- Semifinalists who were not selected for the final round (EUR 3,000 each) – Alexej Gorlatch (Ukraine), David Meier (Germany) and Amir Tebenikhin (Kazakhstan)
- Special prize for chamber music (ex aequo, EUR 500 each) – Keiko Hattori (Japan) and David Meier (Germany)
- Special prize for the interpretation of a 21st century work (EUR 1,000) – Keiko Hattori (Japan)
