Hinrich Alpers from Germany is the winner of the first prize, endowed with EUR 30,000, in the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn in 2009.

Following the outstanding final round awaited with great excitement, the jury awarded the second prize to Jordi Bitlloch, France (EUR 20,000) and the third prize to Einav Yarden, Israel (EUR 10,000).

Other prizes and awards were presented to:

• Audience prize (EUR 3,000) – Jordi Bitlloch (France)
• Semifinalists who were not selected for the final round (EUR 3,000 each) – Georgy Gromov (Russia), Ishay Shaer (Israel), Mimi Jue Wang (China)
• Special prize for chamber music (EUR 1,000) – Hinrich Alpers (Germany)
• Special prize for the interpretation of a contemporary composition (EUR 1,000) – Hinrich Alpers (Germany)
