Competition launches successfully with Welcome Concert.

The competition has been opened: 28 competitors from 13 countries received an official welcome from Timotheus Höttges, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Telekom AG and Chairman of the Organization Committee of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn, and were presented to the audience by Prof. Pavel Gililov, Artistic Director and Chairman of the Jury, at yesterday’s Welcome Concert. The Welcome Concert with Henri Sigfridsson, first-prize winner of 2005, proved extremely popular with the audience, numbering almost 600.

The first round of the competition is taking place from December 2 to 5, 2009. The competitors will perform from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Headquarters of Deutsche Telekom AG, Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 140, 53113 Bonn. We look forward to seeing you there.
