Concert tour of the 1st prize winner with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn

15.02.2010

The Bonn Classical Philharmonic (Klassische Philharmonie Bonn) orchestra presents the winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2009 in a concert tour of Germany. Hinrich Alpers will be playing the Piano Concerto No 2 in B-flat major op. 19 by Ludwig van Beethoven, with which he impressed the jury and the audience in the final of the competition.

This German pianist has already won several international competitions, including the Ester Honens International Piano Competition 2006 in Calgary and the Concours Grieg 2004 in Oslo. He has also been awarded special prizes at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Summer Academy of the Salzburg Mozarteum.

In this performance, Beethoven‘s Piano Concerto No 2 will be framed by Haydn’s Symphony No 88 in G-major and Mozart’s “Paris” Symphony, K. 297.

The concert tour starts at 8 p.m. on February 9, 2010 in the Meisterhalle in Nuremberg. At 8 p.m. on February 26, 2010, Hinrich Alpers will be playing at the Beethovenhalle in Bonn.

He will be accompanied by the Bonn Classical Philharmonic under the baton of Heribert Beissel.
