Till Janczukowicz

Member of the Organization Committee

Till Janczukowicz, born in 1967, took up the piano at the age of five and began his studies at the Aachen School of Music at fifteen. After winning the first prize in the University’s own piano competition, he continued his studies in Cologne. At the same time, he worked as a journalist, contributing to newspapers, journals and radio programs.

Immediately after his final examination, he took over the management of the international master classes held as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. He then teamed up with Bob Brookmeyer to found the SHMF Big Band, as a second Festival ensemble alongside the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra, which now appears under the name of “New Arts Orchestra.”

He has worked for Columbia Artists Management since 1995, going on to establish the company’s European office in Berlin, which he still heads as managing partner. In 2008, together with the Abu Dhabi government, he inaugurated the Abu Dhabi Classics, for which he is Executive and Artistic Director.
