Marie Rosa Günter began her studies as a youth student of the Institut zur Frühförderung musikalisch Hochbegabter in 2008 at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hanover with Matti Raekallio and Jelena Levit. Currently she is finishing her Konzertexamen in the class of Bernd Goetzke. The young pianist has been honored by several awards. Hence she has won the first prize at the Internationaler Steinway Klavierspiel-Wettbewerb and the first prize at the Internationalen Grotrian-Steinweg Klavierspielwettbewerb. Together with the cellist Stanislas Kim she was named laureate of the Concours de Musique de Chambre de Lyon as well s the International Swedish Duo Competition.
In the season of 2016/2017, Marie Rosa Günter has performed with the Trio Faust as part of the Bundesauswahl Konzerte Junger Künstler, which has gained her a scholarship at the Deutsche Musikwettbewerb. Her debut album, a recording of the Goldberg variations by Johann Sebastian Bach, has been solely acclaimed positively by the press and was awarded with the Pizzicato Supersonic Award.
