Ye-Eun Kim was born in Korea and started playing the piano at the age of 4. She pursued her artistic career at Yewon Arts School in Seoul and studied in Seoul Arts High School with Jihyun Cho. She completed a bachelor's degree in Piano Performance at the Seoul National Univertsity with Jonghwa Park.
In 2015 she matriculated in the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hanover for a Master’s degree with Gerrit Zitterbart and Igor Chetuev. She is currently studying at HMTMH pursuing a Soloklasse (Konzertexamen) with Gerrit Zitterbart since 2018.
She has won numerous competitions including Don Vincenzo Vitti in Italy. Kim’s solo performing experience includes several solo performances in Hanover, Göttingen and Magdeburg in Germany. In addition, she has participated in masterclasses by Bernd Goetzke, Roland Krüger, Piotr Paleczny, Soo-Jung Shin, Menahem Pressler and Timothy Ehlen.
