Mia Pečnik is the winner of leading awards for young musicians in Croatia, such as Young Musician of the Year Award selected by the Zagreb Philharmonic, the Ivo Vuljević Award, Vinko Lesić Award, etc. As well as being a prizewinner in many international competitions.
She was awarded with the „Oscar of knowledge” prize by the Ministry of science and education of the Republic of Croatia as one Croatia’s best students. Her first performance with an orchestra was at the age of 11. She performed numerous times with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuwait City, in Santa Cecilia Hall in Rome, in the Croatian National Theatre, with the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra in Kraków, with Orkiestra Symfoniczna Panstwowej in Katowice, with Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau, with Croatian National Theatre Symphonic Orchestra, with Croatian RTV Symphony Orchestra, with Bazzini Concert Orchestra in Verona, with the Zagreb Soloists chamber orchestra.
She has been awarded the W.Richard Stiftung "Best of NRW" with 11 recitals in 2023. She held recitals in London, New York (Carnegie Hall), Budapest, Krakow, Belgrade, Bucharest, Palermo, Vienna etc.
She recorded a CD with the Zagreb Philharmonic and mo. J.Latham-Koenig (D. Pejacevic Piano Concerto in g-minor op. 33).
At the moment Mia Pečnik is studying with Prof. Andreas Fröhlich at HfMT Köln.
