Spartak Margaryan

Spartak Margaryan was born in Hamburg in 1994. He spent the first ten years of his life growing up in Germany and Sweden. He began playing the piano at the age of eleven and graduated from the renowned state Alexander Spendaryan Music School for highly gifted children in Yerevan (Armenia) in the piano class of Marina Vardanyan. Prof. Vagharshak Harutunyan and Prof. Suren Zakaryan also had a strong influence on the development of his musical education. During this time, Spartak Margaryan was not only occupied with playing the piano, but also with composing.

From 2012 to 2013, Spartak Margaryan studied at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Prof. Konrad Elser. Since 2014, Spartak Margaryan has been perfecting his musical education in Prof. Anna Vinnitskaya's master class at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. In 2015 he received a scholarship from the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation and in 2018 a scholarship from the Swiss DOMS Foundation and the Claussen-Simon-Foundation.

In 2019he was involved at the unveiling of the new Steinway & Sons Limited Edition as Hamburg's up-and-coming star at the Elbphilharmonie.

In 2021 he had his CD debut with the label Sonus Eterna and the L. v. Beethovens Diabelli Variations op. 120.
