Born in 2002 and recognized by the magazine " Pianiste " as one of the most promising french pianist of his generation, Théotime Gillot captivates the public by "his visionary playing"(Helsigin Sanomat) and the "great sensitivity" of his interpretations (Crescendo Magazine).

After completing his master degree in 2023 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris with Prof. Claire Desert, he is now studying at the Basel Hochschule für Musik with Prof. Claudio Martinez Mehner.

At the age of 20, he is already a prizewinner of numerous international competitions such as the Tallinn International Piano Competition (Estonia) or the Chopin Competition for Young Pianists (Switzerland) where he also received the special prize of the Chopin Institute. On this occasion, he received advice from Martha Argerich, who encouraged him and recognized him as "a very special talent".

His career has taken him to Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Finland or Estonia and he has performed as a soloist with orchestra such as the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra or the Estonian National Orchestra. He regularly performs in many festivals in France and abroad such as the Festival de la Roque d'Anthéron, Les Pianissimes, Piano à Riom, Les Musicales de Gadagnes, Festival Jeune Chopin in Cannes, Les Pianoctambules, Festival Musical Durtal... He also played on France Musique national radio and took part in the summer tour of Gautier Capucon in 2021.

As a member of the Trio Zarathoustra, he is an eager chamber music player and also shares the stage with many other musicians.

He was fortunate to learn from many masters such as Akiko Ebi, Tuija Hakkila, Nikolai Demidenko, Rena Shereshevskaya, Robert Levin, Anne Queffélec, Jean-Philippe Collard or Emmanuel Strosser.
