Let it be the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Golden Hall in the Wiener Musikverein or the Gewandhaus in Leipzig – Philipp Scheucher has already played in concert halls of which the stages are counted as Europe's most important ones.
Particularly remarkable for the Austrian pianist are his natural charisma and the joy of playing music, that carries the audience. His concert schedule has led him around the world, including countries like Japan, South Africa, Canada, Russia as well as the United States. He constantly works and cooperates with renowned musicians and Orchestras, such as the K&K Philharmoniker Wien, the Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the WDR-Funkhausorchester and many more, accompanied among others by Dirk Kaftan, Michael Hofstetter, Alexander Prior and Mei-Ann Chen.
As a multiple laureate of international competitions (1st prize Aarhus/Denmark; 1st prize Cologne; 2nd prize Pretoria/South Africa, and many more) he gave a concert in September 2018 at the renowned Honens International Piano Competition in Calgary/Canada as one of the world’s ten best up-and-coming young pianists. After studies under Markus Schimer in Graz (A) he is receiving his fine-tuning from Ilja Scheps at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne since October 2018.
