First prize winner of the Leipzig International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition, Rachel Naomi Kudo made her orchestral debut with the Fort Worth and Chicago Symphony Orchestras. She has performed at Chopin's birth house „Zelazowa Wola“, Royal Castle in Poland, Salle Cortot in Paris, Musikverein Wien, Bachfest in Leipzig, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York, Tivoli International Festival in Denmark, Bergen International Festival in Norway, Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel, and Fazioli Concert Hall in Italy.
A graduate of the Juilliard School, Rachel Naomi Kudo is winner of a Gilmore Young Artist Award and scholarship recipient from the Davidson Institute of Talent Development and Rohm Music Foundation in Japan. She has been invited to Carnegie Hall's Professional Training Workshops, working with pianists Emanuel Ax and Sir András Schiff.
Born in Washington D.C. to Japanese-Korean parents, Rachel began studying piano with Emilio del Rosario at the Music Institute of Chicago. She works with Leon Fleisher, and has studied with Richard Goode, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Joseph Kalichstein, Gilbert Kalish, and Kum-Sing Lee.
