Born in 1996 in Italy, Alberto Ferro is currently studying under Epifanio Comis at the Vincenzo Bellini Institute of Music in Catania. He also attended masterclasses held by Leslie Howard, Richard Goode, Jörg Demus and Vladimir Ashkenazy. In 2015, he won 2nd Prize, International Press Prize and Haydn Prize at the “Ferruccio Busoni” International Piano Competition in Bolzano. In 2016, he won 6th Prize and Audience Prize at the “Queen Elisabeth” International Piano Competition in Brussels. He performed at important venues like Sala Verdi of the Conservatory in Milan, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Concertgebouw in Bruges, Philharmonie in Luxembourg, Flagey and BOZAR in Brussels, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Festspielhaus in Erl, Italian Embassy in Berlin, Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere in Weimar, Künstlerhaus and Herkulessaal in Munich, Gewandhaus in Leipzig. He appeared with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, Kammerphilharmonie dacapo München, deFilharmonie, National Orchestra of Belgium, under the baton of Franz Schottky, Marco Parisotto, Arvo Volmer, Paul Meyer, Thierry Fischer, Marin Alsop.
