Jingge Yan

Jingge Yan, born in Beijing in 1986, had his first piano lessons at the age of four. From 2007 to 2011 he studied at the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio (USA) with Prof. Peter Takacs and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree for piano and organ. At present he is continuing his studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Pavel Gililov. Jingge Yan has already won several competitions in his home country of China, for example the Hope Cup International Piano Competition and the Gulangyu International Piano Competition. He has also been awarded the Rudolf Serkin Prize of the Oberlin Conservatory, which is regularly given to the most talented junior student. In addition to his piano studies, Jingge Yan writes articles for the music and culture sections of a number of magazines and newspapers.
