Soo-Jung Ann started playing the piano at the age of 6 and studied at Yewon Art School and the preparatory school of the Korean National University of Arts (KNUA). She studied with Prof. Choong-Mo Kang and obtained a Bachelor Degree of Music at KNUA in 2007. She has been a student of Prof. John O’Conor and Thérèse Fahy at the Royal Irish Academy of Music since 2007. In 2009, she received her degree for Master of Music in Performance and now she is studying for the postgraduate degree in Music Performance. Also she is studying with Prof. Pavel Gililov for a postgraduate course in Mozarteum since 2012. Soo-Jung Ann has had great success at International Piano Competitions- the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 2009, the AXA Dublin International Piano Competition in 2009, the Hong Kong International Piano Competition in 2011. She was awarded the 1st prize with a Gold Medal at the 58th International Music Competition Maria Canals of Barcelona in 2012.
Soo-Jung Ann has performed widely throughout her native country Korea in addition to Ireland, France, Japan, Malaysia, Macedonia, Poland, Russia and Spain.
