New Beethoven recording by Jingge Yan / Piano competition in Bonn's partner city Chengdu

In 2011, Jingge Yan was awarded the First Pize during the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn. Since then, he has made a name for himself in international classical music and piano circles. He has also grown ever fonder of the city of Bonn – which is why it comes as no surprise that when he had to decided where he wanted to record his new album, he chose the Beethoven-Haus Bonn Kammermusiksaal.

The recording consists of three CDs and includes the six late sonatas, sonatas no 4, no 24 and sonatas op. 49 and op. 79.

But even beyond this new recording, Jingge Yan has become an ambassador for the city of Bonn and its most famous son: Together with Deutsche Telekom AG, he is currently busy setting up a new piano competition in Bonn's partner city Chengdu. And the young pianist that wins this competition is automatically invited to participate in the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2019. This does not only promote Bonn and Beethoven abroad, it also strengthens the exchange between the two partner cities.

Congratulations, Jingge Yan – we're looking forward to the new recording, and we're excited to follow the new competition in Chengdu!
