Ekaterina Tserr

Ekaterina Tserr was born in Voronezh, Russia, and has been playing the piano since the age of seven. Her musical education began at the music school in Voronezh, where she was taught by Irina Tarabrina, and later she studied for two years with the recognized Russian artist Anatoly Pogorelov. In 2010, she moved to St. Petersburg to study at the Special Music School with Vladimir Suslov. She then continued her education from 2012 to 2017 at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg, where she studied with Tatiana Zagorovskaya.

Ekaterina has won prizes at international music competitions, including first place at the “Sforzando” competition and third place at the Stockholm International Competition. She has worked with well-known conductors such as Yuri Androsov and Mikhail Scherbakov and performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in St. Petersburg and other Russian cities. She has also given concerts in Germany and Austria.

She has taken part in numerous master classes, including with Arie Vardi, Pavel Gililov and Alexandr Mndoyants. As a member of the Anima Trio, she has taken part in masterclasses with Nikolay Lugansky, Pavel Popov and Elena Semishina. She has been awarded various scholarships for her musical work, including the Gartow Foundation, the Rotary Club and the Mendelssohn Scholarship of the Leipzig International Piano Academy.
