Yuri Yamamoto

born in 2000Japan

Born in 2000, he started playing the piano at the age of 6. He is currently studying  piano under Hiroshi Arimori at the Tokyo University of the Arts.  He has won a number of prizes including the Silver Prize in Superior Grade of  The 48th PTNA Piano Competition (2024), the Most Promising Artist Prize of  the 20th Hamamatsu International Piano Academy in 2016, the 2nd Prize in the  “Recital Section” of the 17th Osaka International Music Competition in 2016. He  has also won the Gold Prize in the Senior High School Category, the Silver Prize  in the Concerto C Category, and the Bronze Prize in the Professional Category in  International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia.  

He has performed piano concertos with Danube Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo  Philharmonic Orchestra , Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by András  Deák, Kazufumi Yamashita, Kosuke Tsunoda.  

He has studied under Katsuko Kaneko, Tetsuya Akiyama, Rintaro Akamatsu, and  Yu Kakuno.
