Hee-Jun Ha was born 1990 in South Korea. She began playing piano at the age of four.
Already as a seven year old she gained recognition winning prizes. Thereafter she began her studies. Starting in 2013 she studied at Seoul National University in the class of Ick Choo Mon and Soo Jung Shin. At the moment she is studying with Jacques Rouvier at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.
The cooperation with pianists such as Menahem Pressler and Arie Vardi has complemented her training.
In 2015 she won the first prize and the Rubinstein prize at the Marbella Concurso International de Piano. Furthermore, Han has been successful at other competitions, such as the Missouri International Piano Competition, the Bösendorfer International Piano Competition, the Dong-A Music Competition, the Suri National Piano Competition Grand Prize, the Sunglung National Piano Competition, the Nanpa National Piano Competition and the Music Association of Korea Competition. In 2016 Han won the special award of the International Hilton Head Piano Competition USA; in 2018 she was awarded the diploma d’honor by the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Spain.
Han has performed multiple times as a soloist with orchestras and has given several recitals. She has given concerts in Korea, Germany, France and Hungary.
