As the son of a Catalan father and a French mother, Jordi Bitlloch was born in 1984 and grew up in Perpignan in the south of France. In 1999 he completed his studies of piano, violin, chamber music and music theory/solfège at the Perpignan Conservatory. In the same year he started studying piano at the famous Yehudi Menuhin School in London with Ruth Nye. He has already performed with famous artists including Claude Franck, Jeremy Menuhin, Mstislav Rostropovich, Dora Schwarzberg and Carole Cerasi. Since September 2004, he has been studying at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Prof. Pascal Devoyon. He has won the "Aujourd'hui Musiques" competition for contemporary music and the Jellinek Award.
