Debut CD by Alberto Ferro released

Alberto Ferro, first prize winner of the Telekom Beethoven Competition 2017, has recorded his debut CD. The young Italian pianist inspires with a subtle and technically demanding interpretation of Sergei Rachmaninov's 'Etudes-tableaux'. Recorded in Sacile at Fazioli, the album was released in April 2020 by muso and could be realized thanks to a sponsorship of Deutsche Telekom AG for 10,000 EUR.

Hans Reul of Belgian Radio 1 comments on the CD like the following:

Alberto Ferro is both a virtuoso and a poet. It would never occur to the now 24-year-old to ostentatiously display his technique. But this technique is there, only in this way does he succeed in revealing the Études-Tableaux in all their sonority and subtlety.
