Dongxu Jin

Dongxu started his academic career in the primary school attached to the Central  Conservatory of Music in September 2009 at the age of ten. Later he was guaranteed to  attend the middle school attached to Central Conservatory of Music due to excellent  performance in both Piano and other subjects. He got the full scholarship for the Juilliard  Pre-College for both 2015 and 2016 academic year. He studies with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky.  In August 2008, he won the first prize in World Peace Awards-Arts Series Piano Competition  in Asia- Pacific region contest. In 2009, he won the second prize in the third Cadenza Youth  Piano Competition as a member of the junior team(B). In 2009, he won the first prize in  Pearl River Kayserburg National Youth Piano Competition as a member of the junior team  from Beijing. In Oct. In 2011, he took part in a piano performance in Liszt Marathon in the  Zhongshan Music Hall in Beijing. He had a solo recital in RenMin University, Beijing on Dec  23rd, 2014. In 2013, he took part in International Keyboard Institute and Festival. In 2014,  he also participated in Piano Texas (Fort Worth, Texas) and Aspen Festival (Aspen,  Colorado). Dongxu Jin is the receiver of the Simms Family Fellowship for both 2016 and  2017 Aspen Music Festival. In October 2018, Dongxu Jin was the third prize of Kulangsu  Piano Competition (Xiamen, China). Dongxu Jin is a graduate of both bachelor’s and  master’s degree from the Juilliard School. During his time in Juilliard, due to performances  and academic achievements, he was a recipient of multiple scholarships and fellowships.
