Jooyeon Ka

Jooyeon Ka is the winner of the 65th Premio Jaén International Piano Competition in Spain,  the Troisdorf International Piano Competition in Germany, the New York International Piano  Competition in the USA, the Henle Piano Competition, the International Chopin Piano  Competition in Asia, the Chopin Piano Competition in Korea, the Seoul Philharmonic  Orchestra Competition, the Taegu Broadcasting Corp Music Competition, the Suri Music  Competition, the Sungjung Music Competition, and others. 

Jooyeon has performed with various orchestras across multiple countries, including the Suwon  Philharmonic Orchestra, Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra,  among others. She has also been featured at Chopin’s Night, organized by the Korean National  Museum and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, performed twice at the Yamaha Rising Artist  Concert sponsored by Yamaha, and appeared at the Kumho Prodigy Solo Concert. Her  performances have taken her to countries such as Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Austria, and  Hungary. In 2025, she is scheduled to perform solo concerts in several countries, including  Spain, Germany, and Korea. 

She studied with Ian Yungwook Yoo, Eunjoo Heo, and Minja Shin, and is currently continuing  her studies with Jacques Rouvier at Mozarteum University Salzburg. Jooyeon has appeared on  Radio Classic, a channel of the KBS Korean television network. She received the Korean  Culture Minister's Award in 2020, and in 2023, she performed on the piano used by Mozart at  his residence in Salzburg, upon the invitation of the Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum. In 2024,  Jooyeon recorded albums under the Naxos label, featuring works by Schumann.
