Brahms&Beethoven: Caleb Borick on tour with Klassische Philharmonie Bonn
Caleb Borick studies with Dr. Joseph Rackers at the Eastman School of Music. He has won numerous awards and scholarships including first place in the 2020 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, third place in the 2020 MTNA Nationals Senior Division, first place in the 2017 Ronald Sachs International Music Competition, second place in the 2017 International Institute for Young Musicians International Piano Competition, first place in the 2018 Steinway & Sons Junior Piano Competition, and fifth place in the 2019 International e-Piano Junior Competition. Caleb was a 2020 National YoungArts Finalist, a U.S. Presidential Scholarship in the Arts Semifinalist, and has been the featured soloist with multiple orchestras including the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the South Carolina Philharmonic. He has appeared on WPR’s The Midday with Norman Gilliland and on NPR’s From The Top, and participated in numerous music festivals including the Southeastern Piano Festival, International Institute for Young Musicians, the Green Lake Festival of Music, the Cliburn Junior Festival, and MusicFest Perugia, at which he has had masterclasses with artists such as Sasha Starcevich, Alexander Kobrin, and Boris Slutsky.
Since winning the Telekom Beethoven Competition in 2023, Caleb Borick's career has been on a steep upward trajectory. Engagements at the Klavierherbst of Villa Musica, in Budapest, and in Cyprus were followed by numerous recital appearances. In 2024, he made his acclaimed debut at the Beethovenfest Bonn, performing Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under the baton of Lionel Bringuier.
In April 2025, he embarks on a concert tour across Germany with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and also appears with a solo recital at the prestigious Beethoven Easter Festival in Poland. In September, he will tour Korea.
