Top prize winner at International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn and Robert Schumann Competition Düsseldorf, Giorgio Lazzari has already performed, both as soloist and with orchestra, in many Italian and European venues, being appreciated especially in his interpretations of German and Austrian composers.
He has extensively performed for renowned festivals, such as Klavier Festival Ruhr, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Schumannfest Düsseldorf, Beethovenfest Bonn, Festival d’Aix en Provence, Bonner Schumannfest, Vaduz Classic, Società Filarmonica di Trento, Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo, Milano Musica, Amici della Musica di Padova, Kirchheimbolanden Festival, GIA Brescia, Musica Insieme Bologna, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Trame Sonore and Harmonies en Livradois.
Besides his soloist career, Giorgio is a devoted chamber music performer, particularly in duo with violinist Sofia Manvati, with whom founded the Duo Rodin.
Giorgio’s interest in chamber music repertoire has also been enriched by taking part in the Résidence de Music de Chambre at the 2023 Festival d’Aix en Provence, where he had the opportunity to play alongside musicians such as Kirill Gerstein and Stefan Dohr.
Very interested in the contemporary repertoire, he had the chance to work with composers such as Stefano Gervasoni, Alessandro Solbiati and Olivier Cuendet, focusing on their solo and chamber music production. He also performed Solbiati’s Corde e Martelletti at its premiere for Trame Sonore Festival 2019 (Mantova)
Born in 2000, Giorgio completed his studies at Conservatorio Gaetano Donizetti in Bergamo - under the guidance of Maria Grazia Bellocchio - and he is now attending Kirill Gerstein and Jonathan Aner’s classes, at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin.
Giorgio is a scholarship holder from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein - where he studied with Pavel Gililov, Claudio Martínez Mehner and Marc Bouchkov; recently he was also honoured with the Roscini - Padalino Award, by Perugia Musica Classica.
