Alikhan Kundukhov was born in 2001, in Vladikavkaz (North Ossetia-Alania). He began to study music at the age of 5; by the age of 7, he was accepted into the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, Russia, to study piano under L. A. Grigorieva and organ in the class of A. V. Karpenko, then M. V. Cherepanova. He has performed in concert venues in Vilnius, Lithuania; Vienna, Austria; Nizhny Novgorod, Russia; and Belgorod, Russia, as part of L. A. Grigorieva's masterclasses.
He has taken part in the "Winter Evenings on the Amstel" festival in Amsterdam. As a scholarship recipient of the Spivakov Foundation, he performed in a series of concerts for the foundation in Germany. He was also awarded a scholarship from the Moscow Government. He performed at charity concerts under the patronage of the OSCE in Vienna, Austria (2014). Award winner in international organ competitions. Currently a student of Michail Sergejewitsch Voskresensky at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
